sorry it has taken me so long to post. i have been busy trying to find a place to stay. i was so close to getting an appartment at the beach yesturday but it had gotten sold to another girl just before i got there.
so far everything i have seen in sydney is beautiful. the landscaping is amazing (dad would be in heaven)! i took a ferry to Manly beach the other day, its about 20 minutes but they felt like forever. theres part of the ferry ride where it gets really choppy because of a current that goes through the area and you feel like the ferry might tip over. trust me i wouldnt reccomend mom going on a ferry ride like that. regardless, the beach was beautiful with some of the clearest blue water i've ever seen. there is even a net that goes around a section of the beach to keep sharks and jellyfish out, which i have heard is the norm for most beaches.
the food here isnt all that much differnt then home. well some of it is a bit weird. i tried sausage links for breakfast and it looked like it was on steroids with a nasty taste. the eggs were kinda weird tasing as well so i know to stray from them in the future.
something that is strange is mostly all the men here wear tight fitting jeans and slip on shoes. that seems to be very popular for guys, as strange as it looks. another thing i'm not used to is the nightclubs stay open til usually 6 in the morning! oh yeah if anyone watches MTV's Real World i stumbled across their house the other day while i was wondering around. hopefully i will be able to post pictures sometime soon. it's great to see all the posts...keep me up to date with the phillies and eagles since i cant watch either of them here. i heard the eagles won a big game yesturday...hows mcnabb playing?
well i need to make some phone calls..keep checking back hopefully i will be posting soon!
cheers mates!

i'm here!
hey everyone i'm here in sydney! surprisingly the flight wasn't too bad. i had an open seat next to me on both flights which was really nice. the entire flight it was dark outside so that made it easy for me to sleep. i am staying at a huge hostel right in sydney and its very easy to get around. right now i am on a computer at the bunac office since i havent had time to set up my laptop yet.
so far it has been fairly easy to adapt to the culture here. the accents are a little hard to understand but im getting used to it. everyone is very nice and helpful which makes things alot easier. not much has really happened so i will post later with more exciting news. for now i am looking for a place to live.
cheers
