well not too much has been going on here. i've been working and trying to keep busy for the most part. i really enjoying working becuase it keeps me occupied and it goes by really fast. some nights they have me cleaning up empty beer glasses all night and i work behind the bar making sure theres plenty of glasses for the bartenders. other nights they have me work at the front door taking down names of people who are 21 and under. the legal drinking age is 18 but the place i work has been fined for underage drinking. so in order to look professional they have to keep a record of who is there that is under21. poeple under 21 also have to have two forms of idenification, which at most bars its uneccessary. this is just so my work doesn't get in trouble again for underage drinking. working at the front door can get boring, but its funny to see all the drunk people who the bouncers wont let in. alot of times the bouncer will ask you how much you've had to drink before they let you in. if they think you're too drunk they wont let you in!
anyway i have heard that the eagles aren't doing so well, but the flyers are doing great. let me know whats been going on with that. has it been getting colder at home? the weather here has been fairly warm. most days its been in the low 80s or high 70s but it will soon be changing to really hot temps since summer is coming. oh yeah they dont really cellebrate halloween here. i didnt know anyone who was dressing up or even made a big deal about it. at ECU that was one of the biggest party nights where people came from all over just to cellebrate.
i havent taken any new pictures, although i think i might be headed to the blue mountains soon. they have day trips to the blue mountains which i have heard its really beautiful and its really cheap to get there. so maybe i will head there for the day before it gets too hot.
i saw online today about the police officer that was shot at the dunkin donuts. that is really sad and disturbing. what is being done in philadelphia to stop this kind of stuff from happening??
well its time for me to fold my laundry and clean up my room. hope everyone is well! keep posting comments!

sorry it has taken me so long to write. i have to pay for internet use since i dont have internet at my appartment. anyway i think i may have gotten a job at this bar called the mansion. it is a bar, restuarant, gaming room, hotel, and bottle shop all in one. i go in on friday and saturday night at 8pm so wish me luck.
my appartment is pretty nice. i share a room with an australian girl ricci. and in the other room are two english boys. they all work alot so i only see them at night. about a block down the street from me is Rushcutter's bay which is full of yahts and a beautiful view of the sydney bridge and a glimpse of the opera house. going in the other direction is kings cross which is a strip of bars and resturants taht seem to be open 24 hours. if you want to look me up on google earth on on 33 waratah street on the corner of bayswater road or it might be called new south head road. its either in kings cross or edgecliff. i'm on the boarder of the two towns.
i dont know if anyone has heard but there is a big moth problem here. they are everywhere! and they arent the small moths, they are big and gross. i have asked poeple about them and most poeple say its not usually this bad.
i worked in the bottle shop yesturday and realized that they dont have one cent coins here. so if something rings up at $14.99 then it rounds down to $14.95 so they can get 5 cents back. its weird. the lowest paper bill they have is $5. they have a one dollar coin and a two dollar coin. i'm still not used to walking on the left side of the street but i'm getting used to it. it all seems a little backwards here.
oh yeah just the other day my friend steven took me on a motorcycle ride around the coast to see the different beaches. i started out on la perouse(spelling?) and went to maroubra, bondi, coogee, bronte, and i think that was it. the beaches here are amazing. crystal blue water and white sands. of course i forgot my camera but i can always go back. i realized that these beaches are only a short 15-20 minute bus ride away!
of course right now i cant think of all the things i had wanted to post about and as soon as i leave i will remember. keep me up to date with the eagles and flyers. i heard the eagles beat the jets, thank god! oh yeah mom had sent me an email about the plot against PW high school. i didnt raelly get a chance to read her email but later that day i opened up the local paper here and they had a full story about it and a picture of all teh guns. i was totally shocked! i dont understand waht some poeple are thinking.
well i need to get going. its good to hear from everyone! oh yeah i could really go for a cheesesteak. and dont be afraid to post comments....thanks :)

recovering
i'm not sure if mom spread the word, but i was diagnosed with a superficial blood clot on my leg the other day. luckily they are not the serious deep vein blood clots that can dislodge into your lungs, brain, etc causing death. my australian friend Steve took me to the doctors and made sure i was ok. i guess i didnt move around enough on the plane. anyway, i just recovered from a long labor day weekend here. it was also the rugby finals, which is like the superbowl of the US or so i was told. the whole city was celebrating like i've never seen before. i took a bunch of pictures but i am having trouble loading them on the computer. so hopefully i will have them up soon. i heard the phillies made the playoffs!! time for lunch....
