sorry it has taken me so long to write. i have to pay for internet use since i dont have internet at my appartment. anyway i think i may have gotten a job at this bar called the mansion. it is a bar, restuarant, gaming room, hotel, and bottle shop all in one. i go in on friday and saturday night at 8pm so wish me luck.
my appartment is pretty nice. i share a room with an australian girl ricci. and in the other room are two english boys. they all work alot so i only see them at night. about a block down the street from me is Rushcutter's bay which is full of yahts and a beautiful view of the sydney bridge and a glimpse of the opera house. going in the other direction is kings cross which is a strip of bars and resturants taht seem to be open 24 hours. if you want to look me up on google earth on on 33 waratah street on the corner of bayswater road or it might be called new south head road. its either in kings cross or edgecliff. i'm on the boarder of the two towns.
i dont know if anyone has heard but there is a big moth problem here. they are everywhere! and they arent the small moths, they are big and gross. i have asked poeple about them and most poeple say its not usually this bad.
i worked in the bottle shop yesturday and realized that they dont have one cent coins here. so if something rings up at $14.99 then it rounds down to $14.95 so they can get 5 cents back. its weird. the lowest paper bill they have is $5. they have a one dollar coin and a two dollar coin. i'm still not used to walking on the left side of the street but i'm getting used to it. it all seems a little backwards here.
oh yeah just the other day my friend steven took me on a motorcycle ride around the coast to see the different beaches. i started out on la perouse(spelling?) and went to maroubra, bondi, coogee, bronte, and i think that was it. the beaches here are amazing. crystal blue water and white sands. of course i forgot my camera but i can always go back. i realized that these beaches are only a short 15-20 minute bus ride away!
of course right now i cant think of all the things i had wanted to post about and as soon as i leave i will remember. keep me up to date with the eagles and flyers. i heard the eagles beat the jets, thank god! oh yeah mom had sent me an email about the plot against PW high school. i didnt raelly get a chance to read her email but later that day i opened up the local paper here and they had a full story about it and a picture of all teh guns. i was totally shocked! i dont understand waht some poeple are thinking.
well i need to get going. its good to hear from everyone! oh yeah i could really go for a cheesesteak. and dont be afraid to post comments....thanks :)
jess the incredible mess

hey! sorry i missed your IM last night, i was out at the bar watching the Giants game. of course we won :) seems like this season is off to a good start! you will definitely have to take pictures of the beaches and everything down there and post them so we can see the beautiful place you are living. i'm so jealous. im in new orleans this week training someone to start working with me. new orleans is cool but it certainly doesn't compare to australia. i better get to work but i hope we can catch up soon.

Jess! It's taken too long for you to post. I just started my job as a teaching assistant in kindergarten. Let me tell you, I am pooped! You wouldn't believe how much tattle-taling goes on. Even though they tire me out, the kids are really cute -- most of the time! Post some photos soon. Glad to hear you got a job. I'm on my way to class tonight, talk to you soon!
